Our Story

Cattle and calves began our journey. A group of city girls thought running a small cow-calf operation would be easy, despite lacking ranching experience. We soon realized this was not the right path for us and shifted our focus to crops, specifically olives – an emerging specialty crop in Texas. We saw olives as part of a trend, similar to Texas wine grapes and Mediterranean fruits like figs and grapes. From 2007 to February 2021, Lone Star Olive Ranch thrived, earning respect and recognition for its quality products and values in Texas and beyond.

Since February 2021 and Winter Storm Uri, we have started anew. We lost our 14,000 olive trees, keeping only 10 rows of the oldest ones. Change is here, and we are fully embracing it. We have improved our fields, irrigation, and drainage, and we planted new olive trees. In 2024, we added new fruit crops: grapes, figs, plums, blackberries, peaches, Peredovick sunflowers, butterfly fields, herb gardens, zinnias, and Procut sunflowers for fresh flower arrangements. Honeybees are also part of the farm now. It's been an exciting year!

Make today beautiful!
